Radio Disney Junior Launches: Now Little Ones Can Rock Out Like The Big Kids





Now you can dance, move and groove with your little one to music on Radio Disney Junior!

Radio Disney, the #1, 24-hour radio network devoted to kids, tweens and families, has launched Disney Junior– its new radio programming for tykes between the ages of 2-7 years old today (12:00 noon-1:00 p.m., ET/9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., PT). 

Disney Junior’s programming invites moms and dads to join their child each day in the magic of the Disney experience, while incorporating specific learning and development themes designed for them. Guided by DJ Hallie, Disney Junior’s animated and live action series blend Disney’s incomparable storytelling and characters kids love deeply with learning, including early math, language skills, healthy eating and lifestyles, and social skills.

Youngsters can jam to music from The Laurie Berkner Band, Elizabeth Mitchell and Jack Johnson, and groove to popular songs from Disney Junior series: "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," "Handy Manny" ,The Never Land Pirate Band of the upcoming adventure series, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" and more.

In addition to the music and artists that cater to their young demographic, Radio Disney Junior will also include fun "audio theater" with Disney Junior characters.  Scheduled guests joining DJ Hallie on Radio Disney Junior this month are: the Imagination Movers, "Choo Choo Soul" stars Genevieve Goings and DC, and stars from the new "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" including Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, Sharky and Bones of The Never Land Pirate Band, Ariel Winter (of ABC’s "Modern Family") who is the voice of Marina the Mermaid and Madison Pettis (of Disney’s "The Game Plan") who is the voice of Izzy.

Radio Disney can be found on AM 1560 in New York, AM 1110 in Los Angeles, and AM 1300 in Chicago. The station is also available anywhere in the nation via RadioDisney.com, the iPhone app, and channel 115 on Sirius/XM.
