Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck
7 Steps to Saving Hundreds of Dollars Every Month

Are you still living paycheck to paycheck? Learn how to save hundreds of dollars every month. We’ve got 7 steps that will put money back into your pocket.

You can stop living paycheck to paycheck in 7 easy steps. If you’re committed to changing your financial situation and making a few sacrifices, you can review your spending patterns to see where you can squeeze our more savings. Here are 7 places to look for more money:

  1. Trim your wheels. Can you live on one car for a few months? You can save big on car insurance.  You can also reduce your insurance costs by raising your deductible.  Increasing your deductible from $200 to $500 can shave 15 to 30 percent off your collision or comprehensive coverage.
  2. Check your connections: Look to where you can save with your long-distance phone, cell phone and Internet bills. Check out sites like www.lowermybills.com which allow you to compare plans and utility providers in your area.
  3. Brown bag it: Can you take your own lunch to work at least one or two days a week? In some areas, lunch can easily cost $8 to $10 a day or up to $50 a week, or $200 a month. Do the math. Saving $200 a month for one year = $2400.
  4. Latte money: Are you hooked on a $3 or $4 latte or one of those mochalatochinos? Whether its decaf or not, it’s overpriced and can easily break a budget. Cutting back can easily put $80 a month pack into your pocket.
  5. Become a cash queen: Spending is way too easy these days with all the debit cards and fifteen ATMs on every corner. Do yourself a favor: go to the ATM once and get your money for the week. Then put your debit and credit cards away. Live on a cash allowance for the week and when it’s gone, it’s gone.
  6. Got stuff? Sell it. Have a garage or Ebay sale to raise cash or put some clothes on consignment and use the proceeds to pay down debt.
  7. Attack high interest debt. Review your credit cards and start attacking the highest interest rates first, allocating more money to decrease those balances. And no new debt is your mantra.

By following these suggestions, you’ll have fabulous finances and more money to save in no time.
