RETAIL THERAPY ORLANDO STYLE: IT’S DEAL SEASON AND A GREAT TIME TO HIT ORLANDO’S FAB OUTLET MALLS

I hate to say it, but one of top three most memorable trips to Orlando did not involve my kids. It was a work trip and it was full of outlet mall shopping. Whoo hooo!! Being a NYC kind of girl, I’m not always big on outlet malls unless I know it is the brands I love. And I was not disappointed!

It’s Orlando’s deal season until September 30th and with all the discounts on hotels and dining, you can afford to sneak in  some “much- needed” shopping into your travel plans.  First stop, Orlando’s Premium Outlets, which is located on the North and South areas on  International Dr., which has over 150 designer and name brand stores with discounts ranging from 25%-65% every day.. And you can get extra discounts with your Orlando Magicard, which you can download here. Whether you like unique boutiques or stores like Coach, DKNY, or Giorgio Armani, you’ll find it all at prices that won’t slaughter your pocketbook.

You can also present my Orlando Magicard at the Information Centers to receive a free coupon book filled with hundreds of dollars of added savings at participating stores. An added plus, the Magicard’s expiration date extends beyond the deal season,  providing longer savings!

The Lake Buena Vista Factory is also available for discount savings on stores like Eddy Bauer, Aeropostale, and Gap.

Can someone say “Winning!”?

There’s more shopping ventures with superb discounts, just in case the outlets become a bit overwhelming.

The Florida Mall, which is the State’s largest mall with the only Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue in the Orlando area.

And if you really want to  “treat” yourself,  the Mall at Millennia features luxury stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel.

This is probably a good time to remember that you may have children. If so, the Downtown Disney Marketplace is the perfect shopping boulevard to enjoy  character-driven entertainment,  filled with  the excitement of  unique shops and restaurants you can’t enjoy anywhere else. It’s conveniently located minutes from all the Theme Parks and the airport.

You can find all the steals and deals at VisitOrlando.com/deals. It provides you with all the information on travel partners and the best deals for more shopping discounts. Plus, there’s deals on all the theme parks, dining and more.

Remember Orlando’s deal season ends September 30th. Don’t miss it!

I haven’t been on a shopping binge in so long that it is well overdue! After getting the kids ready for the school year, it is time for mommy to enjoy some therapeutic splurging in Armani. I am not big on theme parks, but of course I have to share that experience with my children. Thank God my kids are old enough to watch over themselves and make their own plans (within reason) because my focus on this trip is primarily the malls!

THANK YOU TRAVELING GOD FOR THIS INFORMATION!!!!

I can’t wait until my trip to Orlando. The kids and I can enjoy the theme parks and cultural events but to be honest I am anticipating the shopping. Where I live (Upstate New York), the closest outlet mall is inconveniently forty-five minute away and their selections are played out. There’s nothing like going on vacation to shop and getting fashionable pieces that are unobtainable in my hometown! (evil grin)
